Our Work
Our Approach
Engineering Expertise + On-the-Ground Experience
Nexleaf unlocks the power of automated data to drive timely action, helping health workers quickly identify and repair equipment that’s not functioning properly. The result: health facilities that are equipped, functional, and ready to save lives.
Tackling Equipment Breakdown System-Wide
Through our work in vaccine cold chain monitoring, Nexleaf learned how to deliver real-time data and alerts to the right people—enabling fast action and protecting critical vaccine supplies when equipment fails.
But we also saw the limits of existing tools. Health workers need more than data—they need practical, integrated solutions to get systems running, repair what’s broken, and keep clinics ready to deliver life-saving care.
Tools for BioMeds
Recognized by the World Health Organization as essential health workers, Biomedical Engineers and Technicians—known as BioMeds—play a critical role in keeping medical equipment and facility power systems operational.
Nexleaf partners with BioMeds and Ministries of Health to deliver cutting-edge technology that puts the power of AI and real-time data in their hands—giving them the tools and insights they need to keep clinics functioning and patients safe.
Core Principles for Innovation
We developed these principles based on 15+ years of experience collaborating with Ministries of Health and global partners to build, scale, and implement technology solutions that drive impact.
Designed to Scale
ColdTrace is safeguarding vaccines on their long journey to the last mile, including during transport. We developed ColdTrace through years of iteration with health workers in the field, customizing real-time alerts and ensuring data visualizations serve Ministry of Health goals.
Embedding Engineers
We designed ColdTrace Transport with continuous input from vaccine supply chain workers in Tanzania. Our engineers rode along on a distribution trip to understand user pain points and needs in context. Thanks to this deep engagement with end users, our solution rapidly scaled to all 31 regions of Mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.
